Food Review : 8p curry sauce

Local Delights....

Other than the trip to Cambridge on Saturday, I didn't do anything special on Sunday. I went up to Serene/Gabriel's place because Serene promised to cook some local Singapore food that I have missed since I left a month ago. When I went over, I could smelly curry and immediately when I got there, she dish out one bowl of laksa for me. Boy, I tell it taste delicious and I had like 2-3 servings. Yummy yummy.

We were supposed to discuss our travelling plans and plans for the coming weekends and do some research for the trips. We have planned to visit Warwick Castle, which they filmed Harry Porter (Hogwart school) and our weekend trip to neighbouring countries. Will show you photos of our broomsticks and our wizard's hat when we get there. Hehe.

For a start, we have booked accommodation for our Barcelona - Spain trip coming in 3rd week of August. I am going to Zurich - Switzerland the 2nd week of August, to look for a Taiwan friend who is studying there and also to visit this place where I heard of so many times. We have also sorted out our Paris trip and Italy trips. Gosh, my pocket is already burning a big hole when we finished booking all these trips. Now, I really got to scrimp and save the next 2 months.

Evening came, Serene and Gabriel went to the kitchen while I was surfing on the net to check on accommodations for our trip. They were cooking Bak Kut Teh! Oh boy! How nice, 2 local Singaporean dish in one day. How nice. I didn't take pictures of the Bak Kut Teh but it taste fine. I preferred the laksa though.

Serene told me packet ready-to-make ingredients are available in Chinatown and some of the supermarkets. Mentioning that Prima Taste have one of the best ready mixed packet to make those delicious meals. However, they are slightly expensive comparing to those in Singapore. She brought quite a handful over when she came and she will ask Dajie and Jimmy to bring more when they are coming in September. Anyway, she promised me Hokkien mee, Char Kway Teow, Hainanese Chicken Rice and Fishball noodles the next time! Yeah! More more more!

8p sainsbury's curry sauce is clearly better than your mother

i got injured doing 'Beast and thr Harlot' by A7X, pureley from its face melting attributes! and jeff got injured doing some gay rod stewart routine.

New side widget!

If you have a quick look to your right, you will see, just below the about me section, a little widget titled 'what I'm up to yo!'.
Its a neat little mini-blog tool, that lets me update simply by text message, so i can text from work, the pub, the pool(if i had one) or the car/bus/train!.
I should be handy for remembering cool sites i read about, or funny bits of news/jokes/Chuck Norris facts and so on.
have a look over at www.twitter.com for a in depth look!

Featured Site No.3 : //labs.digg.com/arc/

Ignore the confusing URL for a second, in fact don't, because unless your pretty quick with a mouse and reading, and with lots of colours, and titles and such rapidly changing, then don't bother looking at this site http://labs.digg.com/arc.
It does look pretty though, which could be all that matters these days, and it does what it apparently sets out to do, which is to make browsing a techy/geeky/intelligent forum a bit more fun than the usual drone of cut off titles and misleading titles.

Anyway, I'll keep this short and sweet because I'm tired and Family guy is coming on soon!, so head over and have a look yourself! go on! over at http://labs.digg.com/arc/

Featured Site No.2 : www.picnik.com

Picnik is a very cool site, imagine, if you will, a very basic version of Photoshop, that anyone could pick up and use, that had a very easy gui, and was also very pretty AND stupidly functional? with me so far?

Well here it is. www.picnik.com.

Have a few photos from your trip away? three or four photos have red eye syndrome you say? well, why not use Picnik's auto red eye fix tool, just click on the red eye and BAM! its done!
Have a few photos that are slightly blurred? use the sharpen function! Theres also very neat crop, resize and rotate tools.

So if your frightened of Photoshop/Photopaint/Paintshop pro etc, then this could be ideal for you, it even remembers the last image you were working on if you accidentally close the browser window!

Add to this stupidly easy integration with several websites such as Facebook, Flickr and Picasa.

and you have a very functional, easy to use package, there is also extensions for Firefox that allow you to instantly import screen shots of the web into Picniks edit section with a single right click of the mouse! Genius!

The Beast!

The Beast!
Created in Photoshop as part of a 5 flyer series for a road trip myself and 3 friends from Wales took to Edinburgh for a friends stag do!.
One of my favourite pieces of mine, with a funky graffiti look and feel.

What do you think? Criticism is always welcome, even if you do think its crap!
